let's recycle!

Yay—let's recycle! Here’s a quick guide for when you've finished using all your products:

1. Make the products 'recycle ready' by rinsing it out and cleaning it. What if the product doesn't work for me? Give it to someone who might like to try it! That way, you will minimise wastage and give the product a second home. ♡♡

2. Get the DETAILS! Typically, most skin care packaging is recyclable in Australia, but what can and can’t be recycled depends on where you live. A quick Google search will reveal a recycling guideline based on your state / territory.

3. Can I put this in my recycling bin? If you've checked and the answer is 'yes', give these items a second life and put them in the recycling bin. If it's not, look into enterprises like TerraCycle, to help you properly recycle your beauty products. If the product is recycable through TerraCycle, it is FREE and all you have to do is gather your empty products together, print a recycling label and ship it out - that’s it! They’ll take care of the rest for you.

FYI, recycling plants uses numbers ranging from 1 to 7 to help sort all the materials. PETE stands for Polyethylene Terephthalate and PP stands for Polypropylene — these are both plastics. PAP represents paper / mixed paper / cardboard. See Earth Easy to learn more about your plastics.

That's it babes! Remember to love our earth; love our planet! #dontbetrashy

Frequently Asked Questions

Is Cicapair good for psoriasis?

Dr Jart's Cicapair is geared for treating redness as a result of various skin conditions. This means it is also good for psoriasis. Centella - which forms the base of Cicapair's formulas - carries anti-inflammatory compounds that help to relieve psoriasis symptoms. The Cicapair Cream also contains allantoin for extra calming benefits.

How long does it take for Cicapair to work?

It doesn't take long for Cicapair to start to work - it neutralizes mild rendess almost instantly, thanks to its gentle green tint. Tiger Grass and cica compounds soothe irritation on application, resulting in more harmonious and less sensitized skin with each successive use. Don't forget to team this up with a good sunscreen! UV rays can exacerbate sensitivity and conditions like rosacea - so you want to make sure that you're not undoing the hardwork of your skincare routine by skipping on sun protection.

Does Cicapair work on dark spots?

Dr Jart's Cicapair isn't primarily targeted for treating hyperpigmentation, but it can help to relieve dark spots caused by a lack of hydration and improve skin tone uniformity by calming redness.

Is Cicapair good for rosacea?

Dr Jart+'s entire Cicapair range is the bomb-diggity on rosacea. It works quickly to relieve redness as well as sensitivity and mild irritation. You should notice less inflammation and texture with consistent use.

Do you have to wash off Cicapair?

Think of Cicapair like a moisturizer or emulsion - you don't need to wash it off. Just apply it a you would a serum or a moisturizer, and follow with another layer of hydration or go straight to your sunscreen.

Do I use Cicapair before or after moisturizer?

Dr Jart's Cicapair is versatile in that it can fit in anywhere within your skincare routine. You can use Cicapair before or after a moisturizer. We would recommend layering it on top of a non-pilling moisturizer or hydrating serum if you have dry skin. If your skin is on the oily side, you can probably get away with skipping your moisturizer altogether and just using Cicapair and a sunscreen instead.

How well does Cicapair Cream absorb into skin?

Dr Jart's Cicapair Cream should absorb quickly into your skin, with a gentle massage. Unlike Cicapair Re-Cover, it doesn't contain any physical UV filters (hence the need to apply sunscreen separately when using this product). Therefore, it won't leave a white cast and is suitable for all skin tones.

Does Cicapair Cream feel greasy?

Dr Jart's Cicapair Cream doesn't contain a lot of emollients so it shouldn't feel greasy at all. It's suitable for oily or combination skin, and doesn't feel heavy when applied. You can get away with wearing it on top of a separate moisturizer if your skin is on the dry side.

Will Cicapair Cream cause irritation?

Like the rest of Dr Jart's Cicapair range, the Cicapair Cream shouldn't cause irritation: it should counter it instead. Of course, as with trying any new skincare product for the first time, always patch test first and wait 24 hours before taking the plunge and applying it on your face.

Does Cicapair Cream help even skin tone?

Dr Jart's Cicapair Cream isn't a colour-corrector in the same way Cicapair Re-Cover is. It isn't designed to instantly even out the skin tone. While it will help to offset mild redness, it works more as a skincare treatment rather than a coverage product.
